Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for their Send Happiness release blog hop.
I’ve created two projects using some of the new release goodies. My first card uses the Leafy Branch die.
I die cut it with white cardstock and then colored the inner parts of the leaves with Copics. I layered four of the Leafy Branch die cuts for dimension and inset the colored pieces onto a Fog panel. For the sentiment I die cut one of the CZ Reverse Happy Sentiment Strips with one of the Sentiment Label dies.
For my next card I used one of the Scallop Borders dies and die cut some rainbow colors of cardstock. I was so inspired by Shari’s rainbow scallop card that I couldn’t live another day without trying a rainbow scallop.
For the sentiment I used the CZ Happy Days stamp set. I embossed the sentiment in white onto black and used the coordinating CZ Happy Days dies to cut the rectangle out.
Here’s a video to show you how I created these cards.
GIVEAWAY!
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop. Winners will be chosen over the weekend and posted on our Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday, the 1st of July.

June 28, 2020 at 3:54 pmThanks for giving me a way to ease in to Yana’s no blending coloring by using the same color for both! I love the technique and the way she does it, but it scares the bejeebus out of me.

June 28, 2020 at 6:09 pmI immediately knew the leafy branch card was yours, so came to see exactly what you did as I adore it! Yana’s graphic coloring is taking over the cardmaking world & I’m so glad to see your version, Laura! I’m not much of a colorer, so was intrigued by Yana’s first video. However, using something like this die is much less intimidating, so I’ll start with that. Love the scallops, too! Thank you for brightening my day with your inspiration!

June 28, 2020 at 8:11 pmI still remember a lot of years ago in my first year of German class in Junior High. It was almost Thanksgiving break, and my teacher knew family would ask us to “say something in German” when they asked about school. One of my first German phrases besides “Ich heisse Megan” was “Darf Ich mehr Kartoffeln haben, bitte?” I think she gave us different food options to learn, but I love me some potatoes so of course I picked that one.

June 29, 2020 at 11:18 pmThat scallop rainbow card puts a smile on my face straight away. I love everything rainbow style and all your cards I´ve seen so far are simply beautiful…Will definitely save up for that scallop die. Just wish there was a Simon says stamp online shop in europe. Shipping and custom fees to germany are ridiculously high …
