Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp along with several other talented designers for a STAMPtember® 2021 Party!
Both of my projects feature the amazing Stepped Back. Blocks Stencil Set along with several of the delicious, new Pawsitively Saturated Inks & Blender Brushes.
For the bloom I used the Etched Layered Daisy, and for the sentiment I used one of the Reverse Get Well Sentiment Strips.
For this next card I used the Etched Primrose Blooms along with the XL Greetings 3 stamp & die set.
I die cut the blooms out of solid colored cardstock and added some ink blending to the centers using more of the Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
Here is a video to show you how I created these cards.
Make sure and check out the Simon Says Stamp blog to find the STAMPtember® Party list of participants for more inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by!

September 2, 2021 at 10:44 amHave you changed your dish soap or hand soap recently? If your ring is too tight the new soap may be irritating. My suggestion: try Ivory soap til it clears up and put Neem cream (great for rashes) on your finger for a few days.
Pretty cards.

September 2, 2021 at 2:34 pmI have to admit that when I first saw these stencils in the release, I wasn’t really super excited about them. Love them now that I have seen someone who loves color show how best to use them. Thanks for all your colorful cards!

September 2, 2021 at 2:52 pmLove, love, love these cards! You are the best, Laura. I love your stories, songs, and creativity. I have never been able to wear rings – I think my fingers are a bit webbed and rings sit slanted on my fingers. Hope you get this problem figured out. Your ring was so pretty.

September 2, 2021 at 5:56 pmHey, there, Miss Laura –
My mom had a problem w/ rings and bleach. This was back in the days of diaper pails in the 70s (cloth diapers, etc.). But dog slobber? Not sure… You’ve had other dogs, right, and never this issue. I am not one who hates going to the doc (with my heart issues, I have to see doctors as friends b/c I really need their guidance and expertise). I think I would consult a pro. Any chance your ring could be recoated with (I think it’s) rhodium? My ring is a Shane and any Shane franchise will (for free) recoat any Shane engagement ring/wedding band once/yr with a protective rhodium coating. (This is over white gold in my case, too…. I did not like platinum AT ALL – way too soft.)
As for the ‘jingles all sound the same issue’ (I’m paraphrasing)…. Maybe try a light / peppy set of notes instead of the grand flourish that you usually go for. Blend like buttah to make it bettah… think commercials on TV for foods or household products (along the lines of the Stanley Steemer tune). In fact, the # of syllables in the phrase I just wrote fits the Stanley Steemer jingle. https://www.google.com/search?q=stanley+steemer+jingle&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS966US967&oq=stanley+steemer+jingle&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i512l4j0i22i30l5.4422j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 = Blend like buttah to make it bettah!! I’m just messin’ around here….
Love your cards! I had already ordered that Stepped Back stencil. SUPER! I now have ordered the Daisy Die — and because I hit $30, I got the “large Happy Birthday” Die (the “big happy birthday die sold out -booooo!) for free. Yay!
Have a terrific holiday weekend!

September 2, 2021 at 10:58 pmLove your cards!
Regarding your rings, I found that when I became pre-menopausal, I couldn’t wear any jewelry. Rings and earring were especially bad. Necklaces gave me a rash as well. Not sure if this might be your problem, but I thought I would let you know what may be causing it!

September 2, 2021 at 11:42 pmI love adding the color to the cardstock to give the flowers more life. Thanks for the inspiration.

September 3, 2021 at 11:12 amWhen I saw this geometric stencil set I was thinking masculine cards. Thanks for showing me how well they work with florals! Fantastic cards and great color choices. I was also nice to hear you opinion on the new inks.

September 3, 2021 at 10:27 pmAs always, you knocked it out of the park. In the September 2021 Extravaganza YouTube you did (with the daisy, new Simon Says ink pads, etc.) you showed us swatch of these new inks. Is it possible for you to have a blank grid that we can download and use? Thank you!
