Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for their Cherished Release Blog hop! You can check out the entire new release HERE.
There are so many fantastic new products. I have a couple of project to share featuring the Big Perfect Shapes dies as well as the Thoughtful Messages stamp set.
I used the circle die from the Big Perfect Shapes dies to create a mask and blended in distress inks onto watercolor cardstock.
I added a sentiment from Thoughtful Messages as well as a few Celosia & Amethyst sequins.
For this card I used the hexagon die from the Big Perfect Shapes die set for my mask and blended in the same distress inks. My heart just goes pitter patter for this clean & geometric design.
Here’s a video to show you how I created these two cards.
GIVEAWAY!!
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a prize package worth over $25 to every stop on the hop. Leave a comment for your chance to win! Winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Tuesday.

May 26, 2017 at 8:04 amI just love you! There’s only one thing wrong with your videos ~~ they are not long enough! I could listen to you all day long! I’m also glad that you mentioned the fact that sometimes there are a lot of cards that end up in the trash when trying to create the “perfect” project. As viewers, we sometimes think that you are making what you’re showing us for the very first time ~~ no ink smudges, no slanted sentiments, no layouts that just don’t work. If it were only that easy! Oh, and by the way ~~ the cards are beautiful, as usual!

May 26, 2017 at 8:32 amAs always, your cards are lovely. You’re a master blender. I watched your video today for a pick-me-up; they always make me smile. You didn’t disappoint this time, with your comments about not everything comes out perfectly and that ok. But the chocolate comment cracked me up. So true. Where would we be without it. And it’s medicinal! Anyway, your video reminded me that these impressive cards are easy to make. Thanks.

May 26, 2017 at 3:45 pmI almost cried when I realized there were TWO big hops today, but I am over it! Love the simplicity of these and the colors are wonderful. And thank you so much for the encouraging words. Since I have done very little ink blending, most of my sponges are new. It never occurred to me that that alone could be part of the problem. I keep trying, though, because I want to be able to achieve the look! (Sigh…..so many skills to perfect and so late starting! But–I am loving it!)
