Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for their Encouraging Words Release Blog Hop. Simon hosted two blog hops for this release. You can head over to the Simon Says Stamp blog to see yesterday’s line up of amazing designers.I’ve been wanting to create one of those “oh-so-cool” pop-up box cards for a while. I thought these new Space Journey dies would work perfect for creating a colorful galaxy on a pop-up card.
For the sentiment I used the You’re a Star die. How cool are these colorful planets? I used several colors of Simon Says Stamp cardstock along with coordinating ink colors to blend on each planet for some added interest. I also added some Wink of Stella to the stars for shimmer. Here’s a video to show you how I made this pop-up box card.
GIVEAWAY!
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 gift certificate to each stop on the hop. Leave me a comment for your chance to win! Winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Tuesday.

No matter how many of mine I use, I always end up with more – they just seem to multiply! Thank you for inspiring!

August 19, 2017 at 4:55 pmThis is just too much!! So cute! P.S. All of the big planets in our solar system (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) have lots of rings around them, though Saturn’s rings are the most colorful and easiest to see. I’m pretty sure the rings orbit the planet in the same direction (though I could be wrong about that) so you got your planet half right and, as we all know, batting .500 is a Hall of Fame career! Or you could just say that you were making up a planet from a different solar system and dare anyone who challenges you to prove that you are wrong….
