December 25, 2017 at 10:29 pmI love that font! The sentiment reminds me of my husband’s Christmas poem for this year:
Love’s Revelation
They looked upon Him as He slept, a Child
Whose tiny shoulders bore no splintered trace
Of all the pain He’d carry in that cross,
Where sacrifice for sin would then erase
The debt that smothered every human heart.
Then, and only then, would Death depart—
The Hand that formed the world would close the grave;
Yet they who looked upon Him in the stall
Could never comprehend how Love would save.

December 27, 2017 at 3:58 pmUsually I try to mention something in particular that I like about a card, but this time, I think you said it perfectly for me, “It’s not overly Christmas-sy, but just enough to keep it simple so that the meaningful sentiment could take center stage.” That’s what I love about this card; all the inks and images all contribute to just focus on the truly important things. What a perfect card to share on Christmas day. Thanks so much for sharing this idea with us and participating in Taheerah’s advent calendar!

December 31, 2017 at 12:01 amYou are right, it’s not overly Christmasy, but the sentiment says it all. Jesus is the reason for the season and I am so glad that a lot of stamp companies are doing Christian stamps. I am in love with all of them. I even have some along with sentiments. I love how the sentiment takes center stage and not the flower, which is colored nicely by the way. Would you mind if I tried to do this on one of my cards?
Thanks for showing us your unusual and pretty card and thanks for giving us the chance to win something. I love Papertray Ink!
