Altenew-Hey Gorgeous!

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Altenew blog.Altenew-Caps Bold Alphabet dies & Spring Shower Cover dieFor the background I trimmed strips of solid cardstock to 1/2″ strips and adhered them onto a card base. Then I die cut the Spring Shower Cover die onto vellum and adhered it over the stripes using spray adhesive. For the sentiment I used the Caps Bold Alphabet dies along with a coordinating sentiment embossed from the Layered Letters AFG stamp set. Altenew-Caps Bold Alphabet dies & Spring Shower Cover dieHere’s a video to show you how I created this card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love your idea to use vellum to “color” the flowers of your card, the result is stunning ! As usual, I was scotched to my chair.

What a neat idea. I love the colorful background and the vellum just makes it pop. I was looking at a sheet of vellum today wondering how to use it. I think I have an idea now!

    Hi Laura,

Thank you for a design in which us crafters can use up our scrap card stock for a back ground layer. Yet again you have provided me with another way to create my own background – wow! Great TOP TIP – spray adhesive for the vellum. A great design with a fabulous large sentiment – I love large sentiments. :o)
