Hi there! Today I’m sharing these two fun cards over on the Pretty Pink Posh blog. I did a little smooshing with Distress Oxide inks and a little more experimenting with Alcohol Inks & Alcohol Lift ink for the backgrounds on these two cards.I also used several Pretty Pink Posh designs including the School Friends & Koala Friends sets. You can check out the full tutorial over on the Pretty Pink Posh blog as well as the YouTube channel.
How about a Pretty Pink Posh giveaway?
Leave me a comment and I’ll give a Pretty Pink Posh set away to one lucky winner😀
Thanks for stopping by!

August 30, 2018 at 3:48 pmLove these! Wanna try those backgrounds ASAP! Gotta get that alcohol lifter stuff, first, but might do some smooshing today! I love koalas, and I think Boaz would, too! And I love that name! Boaz is one of the unsung heroes of the Bible! Ruth gets credit for being in the line of David and Jesus, but she couldn’t have done it without Boaz! It’s a koalaty name! I wanna use that on a card!

August 30, 2018 at 4:28 pmWell, I really don’t know where to start. These cards are so adorable. I love the smooshing, but my favorite is the alcohol lift technique. I bought alcohol lift ink when I first saw Jennifer McGuire demonstrate it, but (I’m embarrassed to say) I haven’t used it yet — you’ve inspired me to make it my next project. I do struggle with knowing when to stop when I use alcohol inks like you mentioned, so I’ll take that tip, too. Oh, and your 19 year old son is NOT to old to get that card. My son is 43 and I would definitely send it to him!

August 30, 2018 at 5:40 pmVery pretty. I’m sure you know that you can use the ink on the stamp that the alcohol ink has lifted, to stamp another card, I love a two-fer!

August 30, 2018 at 6:12 pmWell I hope you did give that card to your adult son, yes an eye roll but you’re mum so he probably does that a lot. He’ll always be your baby. I love the card, but I wonder if you have conquered functioning on two hours sleep yet? The cards look labour intensive!

August 30, 2018 at 7:26 pmWow very pretty. I did not know you can emboss right on the distress oxide ink. I will have to try that. Can you emboss is you use the micro glaze?
