Hi there! Today I’m sharing this colorful project featuring the Folk Tree stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio.I used several different kinds of inks to create this card. I used Altenew inks, Mama Elephant pigment inks and even distress inks. You can check out the video over on the Pinkfresh Studio Youtube channel to see how I created this card.
How would you like to win a few Pinkfresh Studio goodies?
Leave me a comment for your chance to win!
I would love to know what you prefer to see the most on my blog.
Here are some options: easy & simple cards to make, new & interesting techniques, new releases, do you prefer just cards or cards with a video, short videos, longer videos, cute cards, geometric cards, or maybe you don’t give a rip and that was way to many choices, ha!
As my card says:
I appreciate YOU so much❤️
Thanks so much for stopping by!

September 14, 2018 at 6:13 amHi Laura – I definitely like the videos as I love watching the process – and don’t mind if they are longer (def not shorter 🙂 ) – the geometric designs do resonate with me and would love to see new & interesting techniques – even some tutorials on how you come up with the designs – what works on a card design wise e.g. composition, color, thought process. Even though I like the technical side I still love the cute cards – so in conclusion “more please” 🙂 xxx

September 14, 2018 at 6:21 amI love your videos. It really helps to see your process, especially on new techniques. Whatever you do is great, but videos help to get to know not only the card making process, but the person, too.

September 14, 2018 at 6:35 amLaura, this is my opinion—i MUST have video! If an email comes through with text explaining how the card was made, I delete it. I need to see the process. As for long or short, whatever you have time for, I’m happy. Love your videos and the stories that go along with them. I’m just grateful that you share your talent and your time.

September 14, 2018 at 7:13 amYour card is beautiful, such gorgeous soft colours used, beautiful. As for your question, can I pick all of the above & then some more please. As a newer crafter I love to learn about everything so any advice you share is worth it to me. I do love videos as well so to me keep going the way you are & I will keep following you.

September 14, 2018 at 7:15 amI really like what you do now. I’d love it if there were a few more videos, but I like the variety and the designs you make. And while I enjoy some of the longer videos that are available on YouTube, sometimes it’s very nice to get a little boost by watching one of your shorter and always enjoyable videos! Thanks!

September 14, 2018 at 7:17 amAnother gorgeous card, Laura! I am honestly happy with whatever you make and show us – variety is a great thing! I love your videos cause they’re very funny, and I love the format you have at the moment – short and sweet and to the point! I’m always happy to see your rainbow cards, and I’d love to see a mix of styles and techniques – just keep doing what you’re doing, cause you’re excellent at it! 😍

September 14, 2018 at 7:37 amI definitely do prefer to watch videos over picture tutorials. And, I love to watch you make CAS cards. When I’m in a hurry to make a card, I do refer to your videos. This card is really pretty and so easy to make! Love your background ink blending!

September 14, 2018 at 7:40 amWell that is a lot of choices! I love to watch the shading you do and color blending. All other cards are icing on the cake!

September 14, 2018 at 7:52 amHi Laura, I just love your videos and your card style! New and interesting techniques are always fun. Lots going on for me today — my son and daughter-in-law are at the hospital expecting my granddaughter! I live in central NC and we are bracing for the winds and lots of rain from Hurricane Florence.

September 14, 2018 at 8:54 amI love your videos. For me they are just long enough and so cheerful. I love your geometric cards and I hope to someday try my hand at one. I make and like clean and simple cards. Your cards always look like a lot of time and steps went into them, but when I watch your video they all seem to come together so quickly. I know for some cards all that blending does take some time, but think of those arm muscles you are getting 🙂 .

September 14, 2018 at 9:04 amWhat a lovely card using a beautiful stamp set!
As for your content: I really do love it how you’re doing it all now. Your card videos are a great length, and I always, always enjoy your voiceovers! Your cards all look gorgeous but still manageable to me, which makes me want to try my hand at making some. I like when you show different ways to use a stamp set (be it one card that uses the stamp(s) in an “unconventional” way, or a few different examples from one set).

September 14, 2018 at 9:18 amNew and interesting techniques as long as they are doable for newbies. I love all of the rainbow cards as well—actually, anything with bright, vibrant colors. Thank you!

September 14, 2018 at 9:19 amHonestly Laura I adore every video you do but I know they can be time consuming so if you don’t have time even a post with pics would be appreciated. I like the shorter videos you tend to do but I’m ok with anything up to 15 minutes. I like just simple card videos, techniques, new releases and haul videos. I don’t tend to do geometric cards like you do but I still enjoy watching you make them. I’m determined to make one like yours soon!

September 14, 2018 at 9:28 amLoving your options for comments! I like to see simple cards with short videos. Especially cards where you do ink blending (which you are sooo good at). Thanks for always sharing inspiration!

September 14, 2018 at 10:07 amLove your card design style and enjoy seeing everything you create. And of course, a video for each card would be amazing. I think I might be asking too much, you do have a life after all and of course any other additional videos you care to share with techniques or tips would be greatly appreciated.

September 14, 2018 at 10:10 amI always LOVE your videos and usually try to recreate the card that you shared!! You bring a smile to my face:)

September 14, 2018 at 10:18 amLaura, you’re fun! Videos, please. Techniques, color combos, design. Sorry, not super interested in new releases because they’re mostly way too cutesy for my taste. A little goes a long way. Thanks! You da man.

September 14, 2018 at 10:20 amCute, CUTE card Laura and I love ALL the cards you do, so keep em coming and more short videos too PLEASE! :0)

September 14, 2018 at 10:45 amLove the cheerful card! Answer to your question….all of them!! Your stories, videos, techniques (especially ink blending) and designs are the best! Please, please don’t change a thing 😀 P.S. I also live in IL and the trees are starting to change in my neck of the woods!

September 14, 2018 at 10:53 amLove this pretty card, Laura, & I always love your posts. Your videos are so fun to watch & I learn so much from them. I especially like to see the simple easy card posts as I never seem to have a lot of time for more intricate creations. Aybe some day I’ll have time for more play!! Thanks for all the inspiration.
beth563
September 14, 2018 at 10:56 amVideos videos videos. Longer rather than shorter, but I’ll take any I can get. And geometrics. And techniques – like your alcohol inks with Lift-Ink video was beyond wonderful. Greedy.
beth563
September 14, 2018 at 11:11 amThe whys, please. The video you did for today’s card (well, today for us) is a spot-on example of how you describe why you’re doing what you’re doing: googling “folk trees” to find symmetry, taking a walk and noticing Fall (soon) colors, how a white sentiment pops on black against bright colors.
Those types of “why” comments are instructional and inspirational, like I’m taking a smidge of a design class but without any tests.

September 14, 2018 at 11:29 amWhat a lovely, light, airy card! It just exudes positivity! It made me really look more closely at this stamp set.

September 14, 2018 at 11:31 amI also enjoy watching the process of your card making. I really like new techniques to use with what I have on hand. And above all, since my husband is from Rhode Island, I love the accent!

September 14, 2018 at 11:31 amIt a beautiful card. I like the short videos with your ink blended, simple ideas they are always amazing. Your tips to use washi tape in a different way shows you think outside of the box.

Given your talent and inspiration, the longer the better! (especially now that winter appears to have arrived here in Alberta…I need your engaging videos to keep me smiling!).

September 14, 2018 at 2:49 pmHi Laura
Bottom line I love what you do – you are my favourite card maker to follow probably because of the rainbows. My number 1 preference is to have a video and I love that yours are generally 5-7 minutes. But truly whatever content you put up we will love.

September 14, 2018 at 3:17 pmI love everything on your blog. Your creativity is very inspiring. Every time I’m watching your videos and looking at your blog post’s, I know I will learn something and find ideas for my cards.
Like with this card, it’s beautiful ! And I would never have dared to add colors to the background after having done with my stamping…. Now, I know I can try, thanks to you !
So yes, I do appreciate YOU so much.

September 14, 2018 at 5:59 pmPretty card—will head over to PPP to check out the video. As for comments, I enjoy your videos, whether they’re about techniques, funny stories, your kids, whatever. I think across the blogosphere I enjoy posts that feature cards with supplies and similar stamps we already have in our stash. There is far too much emphasis on some blogs to “push” new product. I like cards that inspire me to create something of my own with a similar technique or layout.

September 14, 2018 at 7:14 pmI love seeing new products featured with more clean designs. A video is always nice.

September 15, 2018 at 1:57 amI love new techniques and I LOVE VIDEOS! They are so much more entertaining! Usually I’m too tired to read all the instructions and don’t learn very much. I am a visual learning person. I’m sure it takes more time to video, though. Thanks for a chance to win!

September 15, 2018 at 5:36 amI would love to see video of some 8 x 8 inch cards – the size I usually make. Love all your videos and chat.

September 15, 2018 at 9:17 amWhat a gorgeous card!! This stamp set is just fabulous and so very different from the usual. I love the colours you used too. They just seemed to bring it to life. I really like learning new techniques or different ways of doing old techniques and a video is always great from you as you are always so cheery and funny and always make me smile. At the same time I really don’t care that much. Just keep doing what you’re doing as you’re awesome at it. You rock and I appreciate you and your bright and cheery spirit!!
Kris Boydstun
September 15, 2018 at 10:12 amWhat a beautiful card! I love to watch your videos! I’m most interested in new techniques and interesting ways to use the same materials. Keep those geometric shapes and rainbows coming!! <3

September 15, 2018 at 1:03 pmCute card Laura, I love the darling little birds and use of colour. Pinkfresh studios always design such inspiring and beautiful products.
In terms of the blog content… I would like to see more of whatever brings you joy to create 🙂
I love your videos because not only do I get to see your creative process in action, (which I find very inspiring and always encourages me to look at my supplies in a different way) but you really have a wonderfully natural and engaging style of communicating. I’m grateful for your willingness to share not only your creative talents, but your lovely personality and sense of humour, too! But I’m aware that video creation is a very time consuming process, so don’t want you to feel pressured to do more.

September 16, 2018 at 9:18 pmWhat a great stamp set and lovely card!
Laura, I think you already offer a great variety of card styles and techniques and I hope you continue to do so. I always prefer a video with the cards you post, but understand if that’s not possible sometimes. I really appreciate your shorter videos; you really pack a lot into them and they always inspire.
Karen O
September 16, 2018 at 10:22 pmI too love your videos. I’m not very good at coloring with Copic type markers so your technic for shading, etc. would be welcomed. Short, long or anything in between I just love your videos, you have such a cute sense of humor. Why/how you pick what colors you use would be welcome info also. I always like your color combinations. Seeing & learning new technics are always enjoyable. Well that’s my 2 cents worth. Keep doing what you are doing.
Marjorie DUMONTIER
September 17, 2018 at 3:12 pmHow lovely is that tree !! And your background always blended perfectly !! About your little question, the thing is, being perfectly honest with you, you’re one of my favourite card maker. I love your style very much, you’re technique is neat and your photos beautiful. But you’re also one of my favourite blogger and that’s because the variety of your posts. Some are shorter than others and that’s a good thing because I don’t always the time to go all the way through a long process. And even you’re card involves more technical stuff, you know how to make it pleasant to read (not everybody knows how to do that, even some very talented card makers). So I’m not gonna help you today because, for me, you’re the best version I could hope for ! Love from France, Marjorie
