Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for their Rest & Refresh Release Blog Hop! I’ve got two cards to share with you featuring the Hexagon Element die.
For this first card I blended Distress Oxides on a panel, flicked with water and also flicked with smooshes Oxides and then die cut the panel using the Hexagon Element die.
For the background I flicked some Licorice Liquid Watercolor and popped the panel onto a Fog base. I adhered a gold metallic die cut hexagon onto the panel and popped up the blended hexagons with foam tape. For the sentiment I used the Hex Yeah set by Cathy Zielske.
For this next card I some of the leftovers from the first card. The blended hexagon outline die cut was adhered to a white panel and filled with a few of the gold metallic hexagons. That’s what ya call being thrifty AND nifty:)
For the sentiment I used the Big Friend die and added a few Sparkling Clear sequins for embellishment.
Here’s video to show you how I created these cards.
GIVEAWAY!
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop! Leave me a comment for your chance to win. Winners will be chosen over the weekend and posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday, June 12th.

June 8, 2019 at 2:23 pmI always love your videos and your comments.
I, too, love the smell of turpentine and oils. However, this next comment is cautionary. I would be careful about smelling all those toxic fumes because there is really some research that says that perhaps that might be a cause for Parkinson’s Disease. (My husband had Parkinson’s so I did a lot of research on it before he passed.) Gasoline string trimmers are particularly bad.
Just saying….

When my grandson was about 3, we remodelled our kitchen. He and I made numerous trips to Home Depot. On one trip he told me, “Gramma, I don’t like to shop here, but I like the way it smells here.” Stazon ink is another popular smell at our house. You are not alone!
