You are Loved

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a simple little, could be Valentine, but doesn’t have to be project using some Simon Says Stamp products.

SSS-You are Loved & Bursting Hearts

For the background I used the Bursting Hearts stencil along with some of my favorite Distress Inks. For the sentiment I used the You are Loved word die with metallic gold cardstock and vellum. To finish it off I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Valentine jewels.

SSS-You are Loved & Bursting Hearts

Here’s a video to show you how I created this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

    Love your videos and cards!!!

Obviously, these companies have not seen your videos. I think I’d send their requests to spam!

    Pretty card!
I would find out exactly what the companies want from you before rejecting them. You can’t make a good decision without all of the facts. Good luck!

I love that card. If I received an offer to market swim suits or feminine hygiene products I would know I was being “punked.” (Of course, I’m 72 years old and my bathing suit days are long past.) But I do agree with whoever made you the offers — your are a wonderful ambassador for every product you use.

Still Laughing here! Is there a chance they might ask you to do a voice over? What would you do then?

I’d probably think if was a scam and I would delete it. However if I was positive it was really from a legit company, after I laughed I would kindly say no but thank you

Love the “You are Loved” die! And your card is so you! Glue Dots makes adhesive sheets for vellum. I just got some but haven’t used it yet, so I can’t attest to how well they work. As far as the commercials go ~~ are you sure they just don’t want you to do voice overs? Shoot them a nice, high price and see what happens.

Love ALL of your cards and posts! Especially your narrative and bubbly personality! To answer your question, I agree with you in refusing the two offers! I would just reply with a polite decline and thank them for the offers. I know you will choose the correct wording! Hope you will let us know how it all works out!

Love the card! Were the emails a scam?? Not sure how I’d respond but ah, my son who is a software programmer would tell me to delete it and not respond because it was probably a scam 🙂

Of course they love you Laura, you are very funny and kind and seem to be such a happy person! Maybe you could design swimsuit labels/cards for them, a new genre?! Female hygiene products though, I dont see it…

Thank you for bringing a smile to my dile cos at the moment, I feel like I’m losing my purpose in life and don’t know how to let go! Maybe I need to invest in one of those magical wands too me thinks.

Great card, Laura…and When I finished laughing myself silly (read laughing so hard I would need a little feminine hygiene if you know what I mean!), I would politely decline the offers and try really hard to do so with a straight face and without snark, before I started laughing all over again!

Fun story, though! Thanks for the giggles I can’t laugh out loud, cuz I’d wake my hubs…(g)!

Apart from this delicious card that I so enjoyed watching you create, Laura … I did chuckle at your swimsuit/feminine hygiene dilemma! I can certainly understand those companies loving your style (we all do!) … and can understand your hesitation/reluctance. How about letting them know how happy you are to have heard from them … and explaining that you’re fully committed in card making world for now. You never know what ripples might result in future … you could become a swimwear diva (or some other diva that you’d like a lot better)! Hugs, Anita 🙂

Love your card, the gold is awesome. As for your new company offers, take the “kind but thanks, no thank you” path, tell it’s not your “avenue of products” but who knows, they may recommend you to a European craft company. Happy Valentine’s day!

Very pretty card. I think we all need to be kind when dealing with others. The companies that have approached you have done so because of your positive happy outlook. You should feel flattered. Maybe they don’t want you to get into a swimming costume… I share your horror. I think you should talk to them and while it might not be your ‘thing’ to advertise feminine hygiene products or swim suits you are the mother of girls so it is not such a stretch that they thought their products may be of interest.

Now Laura, this is the response I would offer for me. Can’t speak for you. “I so much appreciate your offer but it isn’t a fit for me”.

That’s after I have finished laughing my head off🤣. How precious of you to share.

My, oh, my, oh, my! I couldn’t delete and block them fast enough! It’s down right creepy, if you ask me, and you did! C.R.E.E.P.Y!
But onto better stuff! Your card is awesome. I love the layered colors of the hearts, the tiny slivers of foam tape and everything else about it! You rock, girl!

    How are there no comments?

I’m wondering what sort of video one does for feminine hygiene products.

If they are genuine offers, genuine companies, I’d reply saying that they need to do a better job researching, that you’re not the perfect fit (NO pun intended), but that you appreciate the offer.

    Keep us posted!

    Love the layered hearts!
If you want my opinion, and you did ask, I would say “NO” to these two offers. They do NOT match with rainbow card making! Swimsuits, well….maybe, but feminine “stuff”—NO! I always say YUCK to that! 🙂

I love this card so much!! Your email about doing promotions for the other two companies cracked me up! I’m with you, no swimsuits! I think I would email them back, though, and ask if they just wanted your voice-over! You have such a great conversational style. You might be able to be just the voice—which could make you some money!

You are hysterical as always!!! Did you ever watch Hot in Cleveland?? Wendie Malick’s character was the actress and she got a gig doing female diapers for a Japan company. It was pretty funny. What folks will do for money. Glad you aren’t one of them. If they are companies you’ve heard of, kindly decline, but if you’ve never heard of them, just ignore them and mark them spam. So, were you in the USA recently for Creative-ation?? And you didn’t call me???? Well, I see how you are. *wink*
