Hi there! Today I have a fun card to share featuring the Stitching Panel die by Simon Says Stamp.
I’ve had some pretty yarn sitting on my desk now, waiting to either be stitched on a card or made into pom poms. I haven’t really stitched on many cards, but I can see how it can easily become addicting. I have so many other patterns that I want to try. Pinterest has a plethora of stitching patterns and embroidery color inspiration.
For the sentiment I used the Just Because Word Mix 2 stamp set. I used the Nested Circle dies to cut the sentiment as well as some vellum to mat the sentiment. The Stitching Panel die creates a rather large panel. I only used about half of it and carefully trimmed it smaller to be mounted on an Ivory card base. I highly recommend the Tool n’ One to help pop out the stitching holes.
If you look closely you can see that I messed up a little bit on my pattern with a few of the white squares, but I probably shouldn’t point that out, right?:) By the way, I am very happy to report that my daughter’s chocolate chip cookies came out perfect. I kid you not, they looked like they were from a store. They are also long gone, but now I think she might have caught the baking bug. Is that good or bad? Oh boy! A moment on the lips, forever on the hips:) Thanks so much for stopping by!
