Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of shape cards featuring the fabulous new Bibi’s Butterflies collection designed by my talented, crafty friend, Bibi Cameron for Spellbinders.
This first shape card uses the So Many Butterflies Etched Dies along with solid colored cardstock for a simple, layered butterfly shape card.
This next card uses the Butterfly Card Creator Etched die set. I die cut the butterflies with solid colored cardstock and using my craft knife I trimmed freehand wavy layers for a modern colorblocked look.
I added a vellum flower from the same die set and a sentiment from one of the CZ Reverse Well Wishes sentiment strips.
Make sure and check out the full collection of Bibi’s Butterflies HERE and check out Bibi’s Instagram for more incredible inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by!

February 20, 2022 at 7:53 pmHi, Debbie – Usually you cut two of the same shape card and just score the one that will be the “back” of the card. Let’s say that your overall butterfly is 5″ tall (5×7 card). So you’d score at the 1″ mark and then put super-strong tape or glue in the 1″ strip created by the score mark. Adhere the unscored top shape to the lower (or back) panel by pressing the 1″ that has been filled w/ tape strips or glue firmly against the top shape. Use a bone folder for best results. Hope this helps. Sorry if it does not.
