I just adore you. The expressions, the sheer and prodigious talent you possess, the wealth of anecdotes you share… wow. At our school, no one uses lockers. The HS took over a Jr High and now we have the “upper house” (top of the hill) and the “lower house” (bottom of the hill). We just rearranged over the summer (ask me how fun it was to pack!) and now all of my dept is finally (in my 24th year here) all on one hall. I’m happy b/c I’m back in the room I was moved from 12-13 yrs ago. I again have a sink and windows and cell reception in my room. On the down side, the “lower house” was very family-like. I really miss that feeling.
Eh bien, as the French would say, I brought this up to say that no one here really uses lockers. In fact, they just took out several huge banks of lockers from halls. The kids go up/down the hill several times/day and they need their coats, so there’s no point to putting stuff in a locker. Anyhoo… wish Emma a happy and lovely-scented gym class (I remember those days and not fondly LOL) and give Hank an extra pat from me!
