Jane’s Doodles Blog Hop

Hi there! Today I’m joining Jane’s Doodles for a blog hop featuring two of her new stamp sets called Sweater Weather and Weird.

Jane's Doodles-Sweater Weather & Weird

My first card features Sweater Weather.

I masked off a circle to blend Ocean Breeze to make a frozen pond for the penguins to practice their fancy schmancy figure skating tricks:) I colored the images with Copics and added polka dots to the penguins sweater with a white gel pen.

This next set features the Weird set.

I stamped all images with Intense Black ink and colored them with Copics. I fussy cut the images and popped them up over ink blended backgrounds. I love the sentiment on this card. It’s so fitting for my favorite kind of friends:)

Hope for Charity

Hi there! Today I am sharing a project featuring another digital image by Jane’s Doodles called Hope for Charity.

All profits for this digital image will be donated to various organizations that are providing food, clothing & shelter to the victims in Sisak and Petrinja (cities in Croatia) that have been devastated by the recent earthquakes.

I simply printed the digital image onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it with Copics. I fussy cut the images out and popped them up onto a panel that had been flicked with Black Soot distress ink. I added a sentiment strips from the Reverse Thinking of You sentiment strips.

I also want to take a moment to thank you for your generous support in 2020. Wishing each of you a bright new year full of hope, heath, joy and peace. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Driving home for Christmas

Hi there! Just popping in with this a card using the adorable Driving Home for Christmas set by Jane’s Doodles. I fell in love with this set the first time I saw it. I don’t know if it’s the look of joyful determination in that dog’s eyes or if it’s the cute little car with a tree strapped to the top.

Jane's Doodles-Driving Home for Christmas

I stamped the images with Intense Black ink by Simon Says Stamp, which by the way, has become my new favorite ink for Copic coloring. I’ve always used Memento Tuxedo Black ink, but recently I bought a new pad and it’s juts not doing it for me. The Intense Black gives a better, thinner and truer impression. I colored the images with Copics, fussy cut them and popped them up onto Sea Glass cardstock. I used one of the Layered Hills dies to give the Slate cardstock a “road” look and embossed the sentiment in white.

I wish I were driving home to Illinois for Christmas. I’m sure everyone is feeling it this year no matter what your situation is. The only thing I can control is to be thankful for what I DO have and try to be more like this dog. Maybe I’ll put on a rainbow scarf:) Sending you holiday hugs!
