Mama Elephant-May 2017 Stampede

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!
Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

My project features The Cat’s Meow stamp & die set.Mama Elephant-The Cat's MeowYou can never have too many cats, right? My little Emma said, “Mom, why are you coloring the cats pink & purple?” and I said, “Because I like them that way.” Whatever floats your boat, right? I stamped two rows of cats and colored them with Copics.
Mama Elephant-The Cat's MeowIt was easy to stamp two rows of cats to make a big happy crowd of kittens. Then using the coordinating dies, I partially die cut only the top of the cats and popped the panel up over some pattern paper. The sentiment is from the Sweetest Greetings set.

Mama Elephant-Pretty Peonies

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Mama Elephant blog featuring the gorgeous new Floral Series-Pretty Peonies stamp set. I have always loved peonies. They are what I used for my wedding some 20 years ago.Mama Elephant-Pretty PeoniesTo create my card I embossed the blooms in clear and blended several Mama Elephant pigment inks for the color. I’ve said it a million times, but the Mama Elephant pigment inks blend “like buttah”.
Mama Elephant-Pretty PeoniesI flicked some black paint on the card base and fussy cut the blooms, popping them up with foam tape. The sentiment is from Organic Blooms.
Mama Elephant-Pretty PeoniesThat’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mama Elephant-Little Dog Agenda

Hi there! I’m back with Mama Elephant highlighting the Little Dog Agenda set.Mama Elephant-Little Dog AgendaInstead of die cutting each dog out I die cut a whole panel using the Little Dog Agenda dies. I arranged them on a piece of Cream Linen cardstock to make them evenly spaced and ran the whole panel through the Big Shot.
Mama Elephant-Little Dog AgendaThen I placed the die cut panel onto a white card base and stamped each dog image into the die cut openings and colored them with Copics. For the sentiment I used the Smile Script die & Sunday Sentiments.

Mama Elephant-Timeless Tulips

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Mama Elephant blog featuring the Timeless Tulips stamp set.Mama Elephant-Timeless TulipsThis is what I call my “loosey goosey” watercoloring technique. I am slowly trying to chip away at my fear of watercoloring…hence the “loosey goosey” look:)
Mama Elephant-Timeless TulipsI embossed the tulip image in clear onto watercolor cardstock and then painted the image using my distress inks.
Mama Elephant-Timeless TulipsHere’s a video to show you how I created this card.
